Oracle 10g Instantiating with RMAN

  1. Now, work on creating the destination queue at the new database. Make sure the queue specified as the destination queue for the propagation exists.

  2. Create an apply process on the destination site to apply the propagated events before enabling the propagation on the source database. But do not start immediately.

  3. Set the instantiation SCNs at the destination site:

source_database_name => 'DBSITE1.WORLD', -
instantiation_scn => &until_scn, -
recursive => TRUE);

As a last step: Start the apply process at the destination site using the dbms_apply_adm.start_apply procedure. Then enable the previously disabled propagation at the source site. You can enable the propagation at the source site using the dbms_aqadm.schedule_propagation procedure.
