AWR Reporting

  • dba_hist_sysstat

  • dba_hist_filestatxs

  • dba_hist_waitstat

These will be examined more closely during the progression through simple AWR reports to more sophisticated reports such as exception reporting, trend identification, correlation analysis and hypothesis testing.

Creating Custom AWR Reports

The first example will use the most popular dba_hist view, dba_hist_sysstat.  This is one of the most valuable AWR history tables because it contains instance-wide summaries on important metrics.  The full list of all 320 system statistics was shown previously, but these are the most commonly used statistics for exception reporting:
